Prepare for fights ahead. Build strength.
Workout for strength. Improve your weaknesses. It’s not about how much you train – it’s how you train.
Your body needs to prepare for the abuse it’s inevitably going to get. Get to know your body, understand it, listen to it; it will tell you what to focus on. In weight-training, for example, you’re building muscle mass, not competing against the weights. This includes being mindful of your breathing while exercising, and carefully stretching afterwards. But don’t forget, in the end, you also need to rest — sleep is when the profit of the training comes when your body is releasing growth hormones and that happens while you are sleeping!
