There’s only one now. And it lasts forever.

A peaceful mind is a more powerful mind. But creating a mind at peace actually takes effort. Being mindful means being attentive without judgement, watching things as they are, rather than seeing them as we want them to be. And while there are things all around trying to distract you, you stay concentrated and balanced. Then you act, not from anticipation or memory, but rather from the integration of everything you’ve learned, in the fullness of each moment.

In football, this sometimes has other names like „flow“ or „zone“. „Stay in the flow“. „Get into the zone“. These moments are pure and simple, without worry or tension. Remember, you can’t change in the future and you can’t change the past. The only moment you can change is right now. Being mindful, then, means always staying present, available to see what is happening now, in this very moment, and still staying focused on what you’re doing.
