Being gracious is a position of power. It’s when you reveal your character as someone who has no need to push your ego around. You’re in control. You’re already on top, so no need to be an arse!

On the pitch, this means respecting your opponent. Knowing how the other person feels because you have felt it, too. And as a result, you help them out. Say a kind word. Give a hand up when it’s needed. Shake hands when they’re beaten. Your character on the pitch matters. Be a good sport!
